JM: Tell us about the pre-sentencing process:
Kara: I didn't get a good lawyer or a decent
pretrial. I was in jail because someone had
robbed my house. I didn't know I had 5 warrants
out for my arrest. I was never given a good
reason why they sere keeping me there the first
time. The second time after I was sentenced
they kept me in jail for 4 extra days because
they said that the jusge didn't want to sign my
release papers. My time was 10 days I spent
14. this time every time I go in to report I
will be taking my paper.
JM: Did you have police stop by your house for questioning?
Kara: Never did they come for questioning they only
came the day I was arrrested.
JM: What was your court appearance like?
Kara: I was in jail clothes.
